Title:  The Use of Diabetes Drugs for Weight Loss – Risks and Effects

Date:    Tuesday, 10 November 2026 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm (AEST - Brisbane, Australia)

(search the Time Zone in my country)

Webinar Description:

Originally developed to treat diabetes, a new generation of medications is transforming the management of obesity and attracting unprecedented scientific, medical and public interest. But what makes these drugs so effective, and why are they being hailed as a major advance in medicine? This webinar will explore the science behind GLP-1 receptor agonists and related therapies, their benefits beyond glucose control and weight loss, and their potential to reshape the treatment of multiple chronic diseases. We will also examine their recognised and emerging adverse effects, safety concerns and the evidence shaping their long-term role in clinical practice.
