International Directory of Biomedical Laboratory Science Education (IDBLSE)

The IDBLSE directory is now available online!

The aim of the IDBLSE is to build an international database of Biomedical Laboratory Science education by country.

Members are invited to visit the IDBLSE website at http://idblse.editme.com/ and submit updates for your country.

About IDBLSE
The International Directory of Biomedical Laboratory Science Educations, IDBLSE, is developed and hosted by the International Federation of Biomedical Laboratory Science, IFBLS. The goal is to present Biomedical Laboratory Scientist education by country, as well as publish historical data from previous editions of IDBLSE.

History
The first “International Directory of Medical Laboratory Science Educations” (IDMLSE) was published in 1994, by Britta Karlsson and her colleagues in cooperation with the International Association of Medical Laboratory Technologists (IAMLT) – now IFBLS.

In 2002, when IFBLS changed its name to IFBLS, the directory was renamed as the “International Directory of Biomedical Laboratory Science Education”, IDBLSE.

Since the beginning in 1994 several versions has been published, first as hard copies, later as files sent to IFBLS member associations. In 2015 a simplified form was made to present the most important and current information from each country, and since 2020 work has been ongoing to present information online.

We look forward to expanding our online database. If you have any questions or comments, please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
